KerchNET wipes out defending champs
KerchNET have eliminated the defending champions of the European Championship, as mTw was defeated 17-13 on de_train.
Not many would have expected the defending champions of the European Championship to be eliminated just after the first day of the championship. But that is now a fact, as mTw lost their third game in the tournament, when facing KerchNET on de_train.
The Danes got to start CT on train-graveyard, and showed that this map, is one of their better. mTw had the upper hand in the first half and mTw captain Alexander "ave" Holdt contributed his team with great play, especially in the third round, where he managed to take our four KerchNET members on his own, to win the round. The first half went to mTw with 12-3, but the Danes had many chances of winning both 13-2 and 14-1. This showed KerchNET the light and with that being said, it was quickly put out again, as mTw won the T pistol round.
From this point and onwards, nothing went to mTw, as KerchNET continued to shut them down. Not a single round did the Danes score, which gave KerchNET a surprising 17-13 win against mTw.

This means the defending champions have been eliminated, as mTw can at a maximum reach fourth place in their group. Should they do so, then they can secure a spot to the World Championship at CeBIT later this year. KerchNET now take third, which allow them into the relegation stage.
The French team of oXmoze tied versus n!faculty, which gave them one point and they now take second place in the group. All shining-star of fnatic won the last match of the day, when seeing off Alternate. The Swedes have now secured top spot of the group and access to the playoffs. Tomorrow will see the last round of the group stage, where KerchNET play Alternate, mTw play n!faculty and oXmoze take on fnatic.
